ISSN’S SPORTS NUTRITION SPECIALIST CERTIFICATION



The ISSN-SNS is an ‘introductory’ sports nutrition certification. No formal post-secondary course work is required. However, candidates are expected to have a working knowledge of basic exercise training, general nutrition, sports supplements, and familiarity with the ISSN’s current position papers. To qualify to register for the ISSN-SNS exam, you must be at least 18 years old and have a GCE O-Levels or equivalent.

ISSN-SNS COURSE FACILITATOR – JOAN LIEW

Joan has 22 years of experience in the fitness industry and is currently running her own boutique gym specializing in personalized fitness programs. Not only does she provide fitness and nutritional advice to various publications, she is also an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic and an appointed lecturer and examiner for ISSN Sport Nutrition Specialist and FISAF Personal Trainer Certification Courses.

She is a competitive athlete and has won numerous competitions. In 2014, she emerged as the gold medallist in the prestigious Arnold Amateur Women’s Physique Category that took place in the US.
